I'll love to grow an aquatic gardn. You not only provide the plants names, but where to buy them. Unfortunately, I don't have a credit card, but I'll try to contact the providers o see if they will accept money orders. I'm very glad with you all. Thanks a lot

I listened to the podcast, but it was about ways to use large pots without having to fill them with potting mix. I would like to have heard the correct podcast.

The aquatic pond is a beautiful idea, but what can you do about mosquitos breeding?

Before purchasing aquatic plants check with your State environmental office or Agriculture Department for what can be imported. Historically accepted aquatic plants are considered invasive in certain areas, (i.e., mill foil, parrot feather, etc.). In years past I used to collect from selected ponds, but recent laws prohibit this activity in my area now. So I check with local garden centers and on-line retailers in my area.

Member Tip

Escape route

To help prevent accidental drownings of birds and small animals in a water garden, always give them a means of escape if they fall in. A well-seasoned piece of driftwood can be placed from the edge of the pool and extend into it. You can also provide a ladder of rocks. Visitors appreciate a safe approach to get a drink of water or bath.
