Meet Don and Sarah
. They’re both Life Members of the National Home Gardening Club, and we recently invited them to Club headquarters to tell us about their experience with the new product test program introduced early this year, called StuffStuff
The name sounds funny, but the program it represents is seriously good. And if you’re a Club member and haven’t signed up for the new program, you’re missing out on a terrific benefit—testing new products and reporting on them. StuffStuff was created to streamline and expand the process.
Here’s how it works. Simply go online to sign up to be a tester and then pick the products (like the plant ties shown above) you’re interested in testing. You can now pick products from a huge selection, including gardening stuff and items from our sister clubs (hunting, fishing, home improvement and cooking). You’ll be notified which product you get to test and then it will be sent to you. Once you’ve tested it, simply go online to report your results.
There are currently more than 150 products you could request to test!
Then sign up online to test another product. If you want to test products of even higher value, you can earn points to do so.
You have to be a member of the National Home Gardening Club to get this benefit. Joining is easy
, and there are lots of other awesome benefits that come with the $12 annual membership fee, including Gardening How-To
But don’t just take our word for it. Watch Don and Sarah (above photo, middle and right) explain it to me on this video
. Then go to StuffStuff
and sign up today! Let me know what you choose to test.
Bonus: Submit a garden photo to the StuffStuff Summer Photo Contest
, and you could win a Dramm ColorStorm Premium hose! You have until September 8 to enter.
Kathy Childers is executive director of the club and editor-in-chief of Gardening How-To magazine. She gardens in St. Paul, Minnesota.
