Hi Linda...I am here and way to busy outside on my day off.Well I need a new computer after a visit today from David [young retired airforce veteran] son off my friend Jane.Daniel going to take computer classes while I am at work.So next month I am going to have a new computer and David is going to help me so I can show my picturers...plus Face book.Never a dull moment around here..we way to busy...life goes on. To create something is so much fun and adictive....you know what I am talking about it...we have to be nuts... and that at our age... we girls just want to have fun.. so I feel like dancing...with a cup of coffee...

I'm ready for that dancing with my morning coffee!!! I'll be looking for neat planting things. I saw one at the auction earlier this week, but it went for much more than I wanted to spend. It was an antique wooden bin of sorts and went for antique prices. If we go to the auction tonight I may have more luck, this is a clean out the auction barn sale, getting ready for the fall/winter season.

There are great finds out there everywhere...so keep on looking and ask yourself what you could use it for...even a glass container can be used for plants...even a handbag can become a planter

Juliana,,,I have used a bag or purse for a planter,,I forgot about that..It was for my silly garden..Just punched some holes in the bottom and filled with dirt,, Thanks for more ideas,,I need to get my thinking hat on.. An old can,,or tin cans the tomatoe sauce comes in (it's all metal,,label and all) makes cute small planters for cuttings.. Keep giving us your great ideas,,lol.. Linda z6 KY.

Seedpods ...I have a stamp set of letters[from Harbor Frieght] for my copper or metal tags I use for plant names.. I worked this weekend and I am of the next 2 days.. I got 7 [free] benches from work 5 of the benches line the wall in my garage..I can use for all my plants that I have to bring in for the winter and I can use for sitting down when we have a cookout with my tables.. ..2 benches on the porch serves my potted plants very well. I am thinking to get 2 big tables from work[all those end up in the dumpster] ...those I can put in Daniels shop...he thinks I am nuts heeee. Today I will dress up one female manequin on a stand...it be fun thing to do. Remember every day is a good one...rain or shine...or snow...

Here is something you can do if you have a glass container round or square...pour sand in the bottom no more then a inch now set your potted plant so it is not to close to the side of your glass container[example ice bucket] add sand around it using a funnel...

On my trips to the ocean I like to find things that have washed up on shore, especially after a storm, to use as decorations in the garden or home. (Make sure they're clean & don't smell). I have found glass bottles, nets, lots of shells & drift wood. Sometimes I'll fill a canning jar about a quarter of the way full with beach sand then add shells etc. that I found on my visit. Sometimes I even stick a little note with the date and location or occasion for my trip to the beach in the jar too.

Hi Magg, I am from the gulf coast of Tx..Moved to KY 2 years ago,,And I do miss the beaches,,walking after storms , and finding all kinds of good treasures on the beach.. I bet your sand jars are pretty,I like to glue the shells to dull flower pots,Or use shells around the rim..Thanks for adding your shells and sand art..If you have pictures,,Would like to see them.. Tell us more about new projects you make.. Juliana,, Have you made any thing lately,,???? Marcie,,have you found some new goodies at the actions or garage sales.???? I hope all of you have a great Monday..get out and get those hands dirty.. Linda z6 KY.

Well if you do some recyling ..you save money plus less to put in a landfill ..just something to think about. If you have wood panel fence and some old mirrows remove the wood[it will rot over time]to hang the mirrow go and get some mirrow holders that looks like a L shape that will hold it in place. A old piece of a iron fence makes a good trellis...take a small white tile drill one or two holes... take a black maker and write on it the name of the sweet pea vine or plant some red Glads or sunflowers you can tie them to the iron trellis...plus you can plant on both sides. I have a candle holder that I stuck on a pipe.. Our recyling station has a place on the side ... you can put anything there people can use..our son got a Lion head there when a Lady droped it off when he took the trash that day...lucky me....you just never know when you come across something that you can incorperate among your flowers.... Today I have to take the truck ...getting two more benches..heeeee...plus 2 more days of work and I be off for 9 days.... .

Good morning Ladies,, Juliana,,I need to go check out our recycle place in Hopkinsville,,I know you can find good stuff people just get tired of being in there yard..You lucky girl..Good thing your son had to recycle that day..lol I have an old chandelere I hung over my sitting area back at the other place,,It was nice at night when I lit the candles..I have some old rod iron fencing back in Tx. And hope I can bring them back with us on the next trip..Paul hasn't felt real good lately,So may have to pospone the long drive for awhile..I like the mirror idea,, Are you going on vacation again..I know you will enjoy yourself..You deserve the time off.. Are the benches from work,,I wish I lived alittle closer, and tag behind you on your great finds,,lol..Oh I forgot to tell you ,,April said the baby has started moving..And says it's a busy little thing..lol..Hope we will know what it will be on the 28 of this month..Kermit won't be here tho,,He's at Ft.Polk for a few weeks.lol. Dawn..We used to go into Loredo and Newavo Loredo (sp). They had a huge market place there,,But some people got drunk they said and burned the place down by accident,,lol. This was back in the 70's..lol ,Maybe you can get your mother n law to go with you,,She should know where to go..lol.Did kitty #4 ever come back..Hope the gator didn't get it.. You gals have a great day..Might get some rain here,And sure do hope so..See you crafters later.. Linda z6 KY.

Oh Linda please call Paul and tell him to bring you back some Taso seasoning meat [its a small piece of meat] ..its great when you cook beans soup ..you will love it..plus let him bring you some Boudin balls or just Boudin.. Well ...its time for a cup of coffee... its after 3 in the morning... If you got a old basket fill it with rocks...lay a few smooth rocks on top and write with a black marker on each rocks that says..HUGS or LOVE or PEACE or MUSIC..or the names of your kids or grandchildren...or anything you can think of...you can put a small clay pot in the middle ad a tea light place on your outside table..when sitting outside in the evening relaxing after a days work. Well... home is where the heart is.

There are so many things out there you can use other people trow out..go for it... Still have to clean some more bricks [50] thats all..its raining here right now so that stops me from working outside right now...so I just work inside... ....there is always something to do..

Hi Juliana,, Yes Paul has been busy,,I have to remind him to slow down..Went to the VA yesterday,For some reason his blood sugar is up more than it should be so they did blood work and he will see his regular Dr.Thur. You know men,,They won't slow down .lol. I have alot of plants in the g-house, I have a fan out there when or if the sun comes out,And it keeps it nice during the day. Got to get my lights and heater out there to warm it. It was hard work,,working on the g-h, But it was worth it,,We spent around $75.00 total..I recycled everything I could,,The plastic and outer bottom boards is what cost..lol. Don't work to hard,,Hope you have a good day and weeks end..And getting out and playing in the dirt as much as possible..(will you retire from your job)?I enjoy being home now and not punching the time clock, lol. Lost my husband in 04 to Agent Orange. In 2000 diabeties showed up and 2004 the cancer. I'm glad your husband is going for the check-ups, so many vets aren't and didn't sign up. I do get his benefits.

It is hard to loose a husband that way it is hard on any Veterans wife to go thru this...plus not just the health problems but the mental problems. I belong to a group of women[female veterans and wifes]that helps now the young wifes and female family members of this war...we meet once a month for 2 hours at our Vet Center here in Greenville SC....a place to get some help and helped so many Veterans and there familys. You right there are still to many Veterans who should get help and do not... I know that gardening helped me stay strong and realistic dealing with my husband.... all that life can dish out...my plants I grow and all I create reflect that....I dont look back I keep on going. Just remember...every day is a good day...sending a basket full of hugs and smiles...take one and share one.

Take 2 glasses one big one small..place the small one in the big one...now you place fall flowers between the 2 glasses...place a candle in the small glass ...light the candle...place on your outside table and sit a spell.
