I have a variety of herbs and spices growing in a big pot outdoors. The pot and plants are way too big to bring indoors. But I am wondering which herbs and spices might grow well from cuttings and do well indoors during the winter?

I have found that anything in the mint family is easy to propagate with cuttings. Cut them off and dip into rooting hormone. With other herbs, I have found it is easier to just start them from seeds. Most are easy to grow indoors. Hope I helped. Good Luck! Del Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, B.S. Biology, Masters in Horticulture. Missouri resident transplanted from Iowa. I forgot to add, if they are in a big pot, try transplanting some. What's the worst that could happen? As you know, most herbs are pretty tough plants. What the heck! Give it a try. Let me know if it works. Del Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, B.S. Biology, Masters in Horticulture. Missouri resident transplanted from Iowa. The dirt is not the same!
