Blue Plants for the Garden

The list of plants that could be classified as blue is open to interpretation, but here are some of the more commonly available blue-flowered plants that are well suited to garden and landscape use.
Annuals
- Annual lobelia (Lobelia erinus), full sun to partial shade, to 9 inches tall
- Borage (Borago officinalis), full sun to partial shade, to 24 inches tall
- Browallia (Browallia speciosa), partial to full shade, to 24 inches tall
- Chickling pea (Lathyrus sativus), full sun, to 3 feet tall
- Felicia (Felicia amoena), full sun, to 24 inches tall
- Love-in-a-mist (Nigella damascena ‘Oxford Blue'), full sun, to 2 feet tall
- Morning glory (Ipomoea tricolor ‘Heavenly Blue'), full sun, to 12 feet tall
- Spanish bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica), full sun to partial shade, 16 inches tall
- Texas bluebonnet (Lupinus texensis), full sun, to 12 inches tall
Bulbs
