You will need
• 4" x 6" weathered or crackled picture frame
• Fluted shooter vase or mini bud vase
• 1/2" pattern aluminum wire
• 14" of 24-gauge wire
• One yard of ribbon
• Staple gun & 1/4" staples
Marker, ruler, safety glasses, scissors, wire cutter
• Wear safety glasses when using staple gun.
• Handle wire carefully to avoid rough edges.
Step 1: Measure wire. Remove backing and glass from frame. Note: Wire mesh will be stapled directly to the back of the frame. Use ruler to measure wire mesh 3/4" larger than frame opening. Use marker to indicate cut lines on wire mesh. Use scissors to cut out.
Step 2: Attach wire. Lay frame face down and center wire mesh over opening. To secure wire mesh to frame, begin stapling at corners of wire mesh. Fill in around sides, leaving about 1" between staples.
Step 3: Attach vase. Use wire cutters to cut a 14" piece of 24-gauge wire. Wrap wire around vase 2/3 up from bottom, Twist wire together and continue twisting remaining wire. Pull twisted wire though wire mesh at center of bottom row. Staple end of wire to back of frame, leaving a small amount to wind into a ball. Staple above, firmly anchoring wired vase in place. Trim with wire cutters if needed.
Step 4: Finish. To conceal wire underneath, tie a ribbon around vase. Cut off excess ribbon and cut ends at a slant. Place a floral arrangement in the vase.
