Five bright choices for indoor plants

For green gifts with gusto, try these plants with longer-lasting looks:

Banana (Musa spp.):
Bananas offer exotic flowers, tropical foliage, and "a-peel-ing" fruit. Try M. velutina or M. uranoscopus.

Christmas cactus (Schlumbergera x buckleyi): Not just holiday plant—many cultivars bloom after Christmas.

Gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides):
Perfect for those looking for exotic jungle scents. Younger plants are inexpensive, but beware of the sticker shock for those in full bloom.

Jasmine (Jasminum spp.):
Definitely charming social climbers, three fragrant kinds are: common (J. officinale), pink (J. polyanthum), and Arabian (J. sambac).

Passionflower (Passiflora spp.):
Profuse purples and pinks (yellows, whites, and blue) set the tone with this looker.

hod tocare for Gardenias? I've tryed so many ways indoors and out
the foliage is bright green when I see the flower buds the turn black and die. I've put them in the bathroom (lots 0f hummidity) in the patio widow indoors for alot of sun , away from the sun. Just no luck with them and I really like them.
