Park Seed Co. and Wayside Gardens recommend the following plants with green petals to add an Irish flair to your garden:
Bells of Ireland (Molucella laevis). Sturdy spikes on this annual are covered with wide-open green calyces shaped like bells.
Coneflower (Rudbeckia fulgida ‘Green Wizard’, Zones 3 to 9). Looking like a plucked daisy, this coneflower sports long, thin green petals and a giant black cone.
Daffodil (Narcissus ‘Pistachio’, Zones 4 to 8). ‘Pistachio’ has sherbet-green, 4-inch petals surrounding a white cup with a yellow edge.
Peony (Paeonia lactiflora ‘Green Halo’, Zones 3 to 8). Big, fat buds open to reveal apple green petals. Flowers measure 5 inches across.
Zinnia (Zinnia elegans ‘Envy’). This magnificent lime-toned zinnia will reach its deepest green tone if planted in partial shade.
