may I recieve from you a pic of the peace lily? thank you -Deb

I have cats that chew on indoor plants, so I have plastic ones. Will any of these plants hurt my cats?

I have several of these Beautiful plants!!They stay outside all summer under my big ole ceder Tree!! They get huge! My only problem is when I bring the in for the winter! To find room and a place where they are going to get enough light to stay Beautiful!!So I use Either grow bulbs or just regular flouresent lights!! They are cheeper and still do great job!!Our day's are shorter and they need so many hours of sunlight to servive and keep growing!!And they do they grow all winter!! This will save you money and you can enjoy your house plants!!Not everyone has good windows for Sunlight! So for those who say they can't grow anything!!Try this I Promise it works well!! It doesn't run your light bill up neither!

I have a couple of inside plants, that are getting leggy.
Their leaves look a lot like the ones pictured above - Breathe-easy plants.
How do I re-pot? Please advise.

We also, have a palm-looking plant that has had babies, don't know whether to put them outside permanently(Michigan), or put in a larger pot.

Any ideas?

you can split the root system and make multiple smaller plants in smaller pots or transfer the current plant in a one size bigger pot . Just make sure the soil has a good drainage because too much water can kill your plant...about your palm looking plant ,is going to be very helpful if you have some pictures or if you know the name. Most of the palms are not going to be able to survive in Michigan unless they are cold hardy, and they are not that many...

Does anyone know if any of these plants are cat friendly?

All types of lilies are very poisonous for cats and hence it is best to avoid having them around the house. same applies for some types of ivy. you can take a look in the following web site for some more info:

Here are the plants that are not toxic to dogs or cats:

Bamboo Palm
Gerbera daisy
Spider plant

For what it is worth though I have a ficus that my cats chew on (poor ficus) and they don't vomit or have any of the symptoms listed on the ASPCA website for toxic plants.

Oh and I agree with xkanenas about lillies. If a cat ingests any part of a lily they can die within 24 hours. Do not have any lillies in your house as cut flowers or as indoor plants if you have cats.
