The ‘Blushing Bride’ hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Blushing Bride’, Zones 5 to 9) features white blooms that gradually mature to light pink. Dark green foliage is disease- and mildew-resistant. Springhill - that mail order nursery- has a version that grows to only 3 1/2 feet. They call it Ruby Slippers. I saw it in their catalog, but haven't ordered it yet.
