The Weed Free Garden Watering Blanket ($59.99) offers a new approach to watering and weed prevention. After preparing the soil, lay out the blanket and anchor it to the ground with fabric stakes. Cut the fabric to plant seeds and seedlings, then connect the blanket to a garden hose. The blanket’s built-in slow-drip irrigation saves 75 percent on water usage. It improves soil, deepens root growth, and eliminates weeds.

I tested this blanket at an assisted living home with my garden club. It was a so easy to set up and get the plants started. We meet weekly and the blanket has worked great for keeping out weeds and conserving water usage. We have only turned the water on at our meeting time. All plants are growing and look so much better then the ones that aren't under a blanket. The size is perfect for a small family or single person.

I believe this would be a great item, would love to test it. Getting old, this would help me with a little less physical exertion.

I agree that sounds like a great item..Being a Senior citizen I think it would help me & Senior citizens to keep gardening in our mature years. I would love to test in my part of the country.

I have spinal stynosis witch makes it hard for me to get down on my knees a lot. this blanet sounds like something I might be able to use in my area. I would realy like to be able to test it out. It just might be something that other disabled people could use.

sounds real good for the high plains states where water is not plentiful, and it was dry all summer, but we didn't have any wild fires. It sounds economical and ergonomical.

Interesting concept for the High Desert area of Oregon, we don't get the water that they do on the other side of the mountains and water conservation is really big in this area. Let me know if you want a test in this part of the country. Gardening is really growing (no pun intended) in this area with the price in food rising so quickly.

This does sound like a useful product to our old knee from being worn out. Living in Eastern WA where the weeds grow free, we can use all the help we can get. As a Senior Citzen going in for knee replacement, I am tired paying for knee surgeries. I am also tried of pulling weeds without the use of my knees.....

Would love to run a test of The Water Blanket in my large garden, to compare with plants started 'the old fashioned way', now would be a great testing time as I am still adding seedlings and plants to my garden.

I have tried all kinds of weed out sheets in my gardens and they cannot stop anything. I just dug up what plants still lived in my front garden, it was full of weeds. I gutted it of all the bulbs from this one particular weed/flower, it is taking over everywhere. I am beginning to think it is some seed used for birds & they bring it here. :) This sounds great, I need to buy in bulk if this really does work. With our drought here in TX I tripled my water bill by watering so often and still lost so many plants. I wonder if this really could bring my water bill back down to normal.

I would like to know the size of the blanket. It sounds too costly to cover several vegetable, fruit and flower gardens on half and acre.

Just finished planting about 300 sq ft of bulbs after carefully sifting out various weeds and more are growing back as fast as I pull them out. We are currently adding another 600 sq ft and the weeds are impossible to keep up with. I'm game to try anything that will help save my aging and aching back and knees. So far nothing else has worked, so we till and pull weeds several hours a day to no avail.

this sounds to good to be true. Here in Fla lots of weeds, weeds for all seasons and they never slow down no matter what I use, pulling out or chemicals. The pounding sun dries things out in no time. Would love to try this:)
